It sounds like Addoha is really making an investment in the future. They are able to buy up all of this property right now and it is most likely at a highly discounted price. When the real estate market begins to improve they will be seeing some huge profits I would guess.

I think there will be two courses indeed. That place is probably going to be incredible when it is completed. I do have to say that I think everything that has Trump’s name on is considered to be “the world’s greatest” in his eyes. He is a great self-promoter in my opinion!

I agree Sheik W that The Links could potentially be very beneficial to the Aberdeen area. Are they really intending to create not one but two courses? That seems like a bit much to me but I guess if you are trying to build the greatest golf course in the world that is a great way to do it.

It sounds like Morocco could suffer from the lack of tourism. It always seems like a more exotic place to go and getting their probably is not that easy for a lot of people. I would not be surprised if their tourism industry took a while to bounce back once things start to improve.

I wonder how long it will take for them to finish that golf course near Aberdeen. I just read recently that it sometimes takes years to develop and build a golf course. That type of thing would be great for the economy there as I am sure it would provide a number of jobs.

Yes that was probably good strategy on Addoha’s part. No point in continuing to focus on high end real estate that nobody has any interest in buying. It is nice to read about a country that sounds prepared to deal with the economic hardship that seems to be affecting everyone these days.

I do not find it hard to believe he accepted the nomination either P Peters. I would not be surprised if he actually won it. I did know he was Scottish but not that his mother was born there so recently. I had not heard yet that his golf course was given the green light.

I agree it is better to see the development projects finished. This gives more people employment opportunities and avoids an eye sore and a visible reminder that the times are tough. I also think it is good that Addoha is switching over to more reasonably priced real estate as well.
